About the Congress

"History speaks through generations" - under this slogan, the Institute of National Remembrance created the Congress of National Remembrance - a new, cyclical event that offers enthusiasts of our history historical debates, games, exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, music concerts and many, many other attractions, carried out in a modern and often very technologically advanced way, so as to reach also the youngest.

The inspiration for organizing the Congress was the report "Education for Remembrance". Its results were summarized by the president of the Institute of National Remembrance, Dr. Karol Nawrocki, emphasizing:
“For 86% of students, the Internet and games are the main source of learning about history, and approximately 90% of teachers also admit this. (...). In the 21st century, we face a specific task. We have an obligation to know what the structure of memory looks like so that we can know how to interact with it.

The Congress of National Remembrance is intended to be an innovative and interesting event for visitors. We want it to become a point of reference and a model for a modern narrative about the past in the near future. We want the broadly understood sphere of education to join this trend, because only then - through our joint efforts - will we be able to touch the hearts and minds of young people and encourage subsequent generations to discover how important a part of their lives history can be.

zapraszamy do zwiedzenia następujących stref: „Walka o niepodległość i granice”; „II RP”; „II wojna światowa”; „Powojenny opór antykomunistyczny”; „Solidarność”. Dodatkowo dzieci i młodzież poznają historię niezłomnej sanitariuszki Armii Krajowej Danuty Siedzikówny „Inki” oraz wysłuchają opowieści o niedźwiedziu Wojtku – żołnierzu armii gen. Władysława Andersa. Ponadto w strefie odbędzie się prezentacja komiksów o tematyce historycznej opowiadających postaciach i wydarzeniach z XX w., wydanych przez IPN. Congress of National Remembrance - April 2023 - Warsaw

In April 2023, the Institute of National Remembrance organized the Congress of National Remembrance at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. It was the first event of this type addressed to both adult history enthusiasts, as well as young people and children who are just beginning to learn about the 20th-century fate of our homeland.

Podkarpacki Congress of National Remembrance - October 2023 - Rzeszów

„History speaks through generations" - under this slogan, the Institute of National Remembrance Branch in Rzeszów organized the Podkarpackie Congress of National Remembrance at the G2A Arena Exhibition and Congress Center of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in Jasionka. This unprecedented event was addressed to people aged 6 to 106. It showed history in a modern way, through historical debates, a conference, educational games, multimedia exhibitions, historical reconstructions, workshops, an offer for teachers, a musical show, meetings with interesting people, and many other attractions.
